Why Sequioa Path?
I love trees – I feel there is a lot to learn from them. Every time I want to recharge, clear my thoughts, or reflect, I go for a walk in the forest. When time came to find a name for my practice, I wanted it to make reference to a tree. But which one? Sequoia spoke the most to me as this is a very special tree. Giant sequoia specimens are the most massive individual trees in the world and are among the oldest living organisms on Earth. They run very deep roots into the ground, they take a long time to grow, and they are very resilient. Their bark is fire resistant, and they need fire or intense heat to open up their cones and let go of their seeds.
Symbolically, I believe that there is a Sequoia in each of us, growing through our lifetime and it is up to us to acknowledge it and cultivate it. To thrive, the Sequoia needs to be grounded, so it can withstand bad weather and storms while reaching high up towards the sun. One could say it is a vertical representation of a human life journey.
The Sequoia Path is the journey within, to reconnect with your essence, to bring yourself into balance – to feel at home within yourself wherever you are in your life’s journey.
